The cutest thing I ever saw. Ever.

I have just a moment, but I had to share a few pictures of our newest addition.  Baby bunny is a little over two weeks old now.  It's eyes are open, it's fur has grown in, and it is bouncing around melting our hearts.

Rosie got to hold baby today, too.  I was scared to move far enough away to snap a picture for fear that she would love it to death.  You've never heard a happier sound than a squealing toddler while she snuggles her very own baby rabbit.  I wish you could all come listen and pat our little friend and offer suggestions for a name.

Tiger Sharks

I know the blog has been kind of quiet lately, but that is because our life has been anything but.  Summer has been dragging me along like a run away train and I've been hanging on for dear life.  One of the biggest commitments we've made has been to the swim team.  Andy and Zadie have both been spending 2 hours a day at swim practice and two days a week at swim meets (all over the state).

Y'all know that Andy has a competitive spirit that borders on obsession.  I think he loves to swim mostly because it's a challenge and his reward is a box full of colorful ribbons that remind him of his success.

Zadie, however, seems to really love swimming.  She loves being with her friends, being part of a team and being able to do something that the 'big kids' do.

She doesn't mind a pretty ribbon every once in a while, though.

I snapped these pictures at our first meet of the season.  The little girls only swim 2 events, so there's lots of time for playing and exploring while they wait on big brothers and sisters.

Andy swims 8 events.  It makes for one tired kid at the end of the day.

Here's Andyman with his relay team.  They've been doing so well; they really encourage each other and swim their best times during their relays.  They have dreams of making it all the way to state, and I think they just might! (PS- He's not really that tall, it's a weird camera angle or something- he looks like he could eat his teammates. )

Champions

Baseball season is over.  I feel like a cab driver with no fare... like a laundry maid with no grubby socks to scrub.  Like a proud mama with no team to cheer for.

What a season.  What a sweet bunch of 7 & 8 year old boys.  I wish I could take them all home with me.  Well, maybe not all at the same time.

To say they had a rough start might not convey the month of April.  Out of 15 regular season games, they won 3 (none in April).  I wouldn't trade a minute of it.  They worked so hard and encouraged each other so faithfully.  They entered the tournament last Tuesday in last place, and I don't know about the other boys, but my Andy was confident that they would win it all.

They did.

After two upset victories during the week, they went into the last day of the tournament one of two undefeated teams.  I for one, did not see that coming.  I knew we were in for a long day, but I didn't know it would end like this!

Four games.  I'm new to this baseball thing, but I just didn't believe we'd play four games.  Surely, I said, when we don't have a winner (this is a double elimination tournament) by 8 pm, they'll send these kids home to rest and get ready to play another day.  I was wrong.

At 8:30, after three games, 9 hours and a lightening delay, we set out to play the Rockies for the third time that day.  Our boys were running on power aid and dreams.

This was a victory 22 games in the making.  Endless hours of practice and 11 little boys who will never forget the year they went from last place to tournament champions.

I couldn't be any prouder if they had just won the world series.

I Love my Red Sox!

Did I mention that Andy hit his first home run?  Oh, he made his share of errors, too, but his teammates were there to back him up.  What an amazing day.
