{p,h,f,r} Emergency room edition

It's been such a difficult few days that I almost didn't post this week.  I'm so glad I got the camera out and found that I did have a few lovely moments to share.  It's so easy to forget about the blessings when things aren't going your way.  That being said, here's my {p,h,f,r} for the week.  Head over to ourmothersdaughters.blogspot.com for even more beautiful moments.

Well, the school year is winding down and Andy has been bringing home some of the beautiful work he has done in art class this year.  I am so grateful that he is in a school with a thriving art program.  here are a few of my favorite pieces.

And I love those sunny mornings when the bunnies are nibbling grass and things are still covered in dew.  Here is Zadie sharing the peel from her breakfast pear with Diego.

Now here is Andy enjoying a water balloon fight at his last baseball practice of the season.  We didn't know it would be his last practice, but a fall from the monkey bars on Monday landed him on the bench for the rest of the season with a broken wrist.  Well, happy pictures any way.

And Zadie got to celebrate her good friend Brody's birthday at his pirate party.  They had such a good time and it was a darling party.

All this before Monday!  And then of course, I got that call.  My heart always jumps when I see his school on the caller id.  He's such a monkey that it's always "Andy's had an accident, you need to come take him to the hospital."  It was a broken wrist this time.  Poor guy, it was so painful having it set, but he was really brave.  The worst part is that he's out for the season in baseball and he won't be able to be on the swim team or play at the beach for at least the first part of the summer.

I hate seeing him so disappointed, but I know that this too shall pass.  I'm grateful that the Dr. was able to set it without surgery.  Now I just have to figure out how to keep him still for a while.  Yeah right!

  3. I love the sea turtle! Which doctor did Andy see at Baptist East? I might have to get a bunch of names available ahead of time with Darryl's family's record of ER visits! I'm so glad he's going to get that waterproof covering for his cast.... poor guy.
